Ms. Gemme passed away recently, and her death has brought deep sorrow to those who knew her, particularly within the Central High School family she served so faithfully for more than two decades.
According to a message shared by the Manchester School District, Ms. Gemme joined Central High School in 2002 and quickly became a cornerstone of the school community.
From the classroom to the athletic field and beyond, she worked tirelessly to ensure that every student felt supported, respected, and valued. Her approach to education went far beyond academics; she believed deeply in nurturing confidence, character, and compassion in every young person she encountered.
Throughout her career, Abby Gemme held numerous roles that reflected her passion for student life and school spirit. She served as Senior Class Advisor, Track Coach, Unified Basketball Coach, Yearbook Advisor, and a dedicated member of the Central Pride Foundation.
In each of these capacities, she gave generously of her time and energy, often attending nearly every school event and cheering students on in both their successes and challenges. Her presence was a constant reminder that students were seen, heard, and cared for.
