LIC Stabbing Today – NYPD Investigates Attack on 28-Year-Old Man Near Queensboro Plaza

A stabbing investigation is underway in Long Island City, Queens, after a 28-year-old man was reportedly attacked early Thursday morning, October 1. According to police information reported by PIX11, the incident happened at approximately 1:36 a.m. near 42nd Road and Crescent Street, close to the Queensboro Plaza subway station. 

Authorities said the victim suffered multiple stab wounds to his left arm. Emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital. The man was reported to be in stable condition, although investigators have not released further details about the extent of his injuries. 



Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the Long Island City stabbing and are seeking information about the person believed to be involved. Investigators are reportedly looking for a woman who was last seen wearing a gray coat and walking south along Crescent Street after the incident. 

The stabbing occurred in an area near Queensboro Plaza, where residents, commuters and pedestrians regularly travel during the early morning hours. The NYPD's 108th Precinct, which serves Long Island City as well as Sunnyside and Woodside, is responsible for policing the area.

This latest incident comes after other serious stabbing cases in Long Island City this year, including the fatal stabbing of 36-year-old Carlos Penzo inside his apartment in August. In that case, prosecutors later announced an indictment against a Brooklyn man.
