Boise, Idaho — A tragic snowboarding accident has claimed the life of Leo Gonzalez, a 10th-grade student at Centennial High School. The incident, which occurred at Bogus Basin over the weekend, has left students, staff, and the local community in deep mourning.
In an email to parents, Principal Ryan Wilhite confirmed Gonzalez’s passing, stating that he died due to injuries sustained during the snowboarding accident.

Officials from Bogus Basin told KTVB that ski patrol responded on Saturday, March 1, to an incident involving a young male guest who reported shoulder pain.
The guest, later identified as Gonzalez, was transported to the patrol room for evaluation and subsequently taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Despite medical intervention, Gonzalez succumbed to his injuries, marking a heartbreaking end to what had been a routine day on the slopes.
