Eight-year-old Chloe Jeffries, a young Australian schoolgirl from the Gold Coast, has died following a tragic holiday accident in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture, according to Japanese authorities.
Chloe was visiting the popular alpine region with her family when the incident occurred near Hakuba Village on February 28, 2026. Local police said Chloe was riding as a passenger on a snowmobile with her mother when the vehicle overturned and plunged down an embankment.
