Alec Maisonneuve of Saint-Isidore, Ontario, has tragically passed away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at the age of 26. His untimely death has left family, friends, classmates, colleagues, and the broader community grieving the loss of a young man remembered for his warmth, kindness, and bright spirit.

Alec was the beloved son of Chantal (née Lalonde) and Paul Maisonneuve, who cherished him deeply. He was a devoted brother to Cloé, Jade, and Yan, with whom he shared strong bonds of love, laughter, and mutual support.
Family members remember Alec as compassionate, thoughtful, and full of life, someone who could brighten a room with his presence and make those around him feel valued and cared for.
He was also loved by his maternal grandmother Pierrette (predeceased by Ronald Lalonde) and his paternal grandparents Pierre and Francine Maisonneuve, who held him close in their hearts.
Alec was a cherished nephew to Daniel Maisonneuve (Manon Potvin) and Marc-André Lalonde (Mélanie Leroux) and a beloved cousin to Tristan and Zoé Maisonneuve, as well as Cédrik and Danik Lalonde. Friends, particularly Patrick Ranger, also held Alec in the highest regard, remembering him as loyal, generous, and a source of joy in their lives.

Visitation for Alec will take place on Monday, February 2, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, with additional time for friends and family to pay their respects on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. at Saint-Isidore Church.
